Things are heating up! Save your Skin
This Summer we have seen massive heat waves like never before! We may love the heat, but it is no friend to our skin and if we do not keep up with hydration it could leave us with dull, day and all-around unhappy skin. Therefore, it is more important than ever to take the time to keep your skin hydrated and protected during these summer months.
Here are our top tips to keep that glow going and stop your skin from looking like a dried-up grape.
1. Drink water
It is really that simple one of the best ways to stay hydrated is to keep your body hydrated. This does not just mean a glass of water here and there but the clinical recommendation for cups of water to drink every day is eleven cups for women and fifteen cups for men. This may sound like way too much but when you break it down this is easily doable, and you will notice a difference in your body when you are properly hydrated.
2. Use Sun Protection
Days in the sun are the best but they are no friend to our skin and while we are outside, we must remember to always have on some SPF.
3. Use Products with Hydration
If you are feeling like your skin could still use some extra hydration, then look to switch up your skin routine with products that have hydrating qualities in them. At the salon, we carry a variety of products with hydration qualities to give your skin that extra moisture boost it needs.
4. Eat Fruits and Veggies!
Fruits and vegetables are filled with hydration and other nutrients that your body needs to produce healthy, glowing skin. We recommend going with citrus-based fruits like oranges and lemons for that boost of Vitamin C as well.
5. Exfoliate.
